Eight residents, real roles
Every major villager carries their own tone, routine, and place in the valley's wider story.
Eight residents drive the heart of Everbloom through friendships, questlines, and heart events. Sable points toward a wider road beyond the valley, even if those trails are still waiting to open.
Every major villager carries their own tone, routine, and place in the valley's wider story.
Relationships are not filler here. They unlock scenes, quests, and stronger reasons to keep checking back in.
Rosewoods, Oakwoods, Fernhollows, and Willowmeres all pull everyday conversations into the bigger mystery.
The traveller arc already hints at a much larger world without pretending those routes are open today.
Every valley resident uses the same friendship ladder: 250 points per heart, up to 2,500 points total. The core cast already has 40 heart events spread across those 8 residents.
Stranger is the baseline at 0 points. Hearts start at 250 and continue in fixed 250-point steps until Family of Choice at 2,500.
Higher levels unlock: heart events, NPC quest gates, lore entries, later story beats, and stronger context dialogue tied to what you have already achieved.
Rosey runs the General Store and carries the Rosewood legacy through one of the valley's strongest early questlines. Her story grows from supply work into family history and then toward the truth waiting in the Grainfields.
Dazzle anchors the valley's floral and memorial-garden story beats. Her quest chain ties flowers, Moonflower cultivation, and community restoration directly into the larger Fading narrative.
Bruno handles the outfitter side of the valley and carries one of the clearest creature-linked quest arcs through Bramble's story. He is practical, guarded, and more emotionally exposed through friendship than he first appears.
Marina's quests link fishing to some of the strongest live environmental lore, including the glowing tide pools and the Founder's Lighthouse blueprint. She opens one of the cleanest non-farming routes through the story.
Professor Fern is the bridge between farming mechanics and lore. Breeding unlocks, resonance studies, greenhouse discoveries, and the Genesis arc all pass through her research center.
Mayor Oakwood carries the valley's records, its public calm, and much of its guilt. His chain covers the old records, the sealed chamber, and some of the clearest confessional story scenes in the main questline.
Elder Willow is the ritual authority behind the entire Genesis route. Her quests handle meditation, rites, memories, meteor-shower vigil work, and the essence sequence that reopens the grove.
Almond is the merchant NPC behind the valley's widening horizon. His quests start as stock work, then turn into trade-route lore and finally the outside-market pressure pushing on Everbloom's future.
Sable already has dialogue, heart events, and a full quest path. She is the face of the roads beyond Everbloom, and her story makes the wider world feel close even before those trails open.
